Happy 100th Birthday to Sir David Attenborough!

Every year at Peel Common Primary we have a ‘Really Wild Day’ – a day spent exploring, studying and enjoying the natural world and benefiting from being outdoors. This year, we are not only celebrating the natural world but also the 100th birthday of the man who inspires people worldwide to be awed, excited and protective of all life on our amazing planet.

So, on Friday 8th May we are inviting all the children to be part of our ‘Really Wild Birthday Celebrations‘ in honour of Sir David Attenborough.

We will discover more about him and his work, explore and study the nature in our school grounds in a variety of ways, and discuss and create ways to preserve and improve our environment.

We will spend as much of the day as possible outside (fingers crossed for good weather!) so ask that children wear practical outdoor clothing and shoes. We will also be having a picnic lunch on the field and therefore school dinner choices on that day will be blue options only, (ham/tuna/cheese sandwiches).
