Peel Common Nursery

The Nursery at Peel Common Primary school.

Currently we have a small group of Nursery children who are part of our Early Years Unit, they work and play alongside the Reception children and share the environment together.

Nursery Vision Statement

At Peel Common Nursery we provide a happy and safe place where children have fun and are supported and encouraged to take the next steps in their learning and development.

Every child matters to us and we recognise that they are all unique.  We place high importance on building a relationship between the child, the key worker and the parent.  Our nursery gives children the opportunity to explore and discover with staff who are skilled at encouraging children to take risks in their learning, develop resilience and think for themselves.

Within the Nursery, children can access different activities which cover all aspects of learning through a play-based curriculum. Further enhancing our provision, we have a superb new outside area which is shared with Early Years Reception children.  Opportunities on offer every day are sand play, water play, a wooded area, mud kitchen, den building and access to the wider area around the school - it's field, woodland and playground.
